Our name necklaces are made from solid sterling silver and solid 14k gold or 18k gold. We do not offer silver plated or gold plated as it wears off quickly and we won’t sell junk to our customers! Be aware of those claiming to offer gold filled name jewelry, as it is actually gold plated and we suggest you stay away from it.

Most sterling name necklaces are available in the standard .7mm width, 1.2mm and 1.5mm thickness. 14k gold name pendants, 14k white gold pendants and 18k gold name pendants come in .4mm, .5mm, 6mm and .8mm thicknesses. When we suggest or require a heavier pendant thickness is it because it makes the nameplate more sturdy for long term wear. The price is higher for heavier pendants as there is more precious metal and it is harder to cut.
Each sterling silver name necklace comes with your choice of a 14", 16" or 18" sterling silver 1mm box chain and a 20" chain is available for an additional $1. Additional chain options are available. A lightweight 14", 16" or 18” solid 14k gold box chain is included with each 14k gold name necklace and 18k gold name necklace. A 20” chain among other styles and weights are available at an additional cost. Here are some of the styles generally offered.
